Ibrahim Hinds is a technology and regulatory attorney focused on technology, intellectual property, pharmaceutical logistics, warehousing operations, real estate and compliance-driven supply chains. He combines experience in corporate law handling complex technology transactions, and privacy with a background in engineering and large-scale infrastructure systems.
Ibrahim advises on commercial agreements, data governance, and regulatory risk across pharmaceutical storage, distribution, and last-mile delivery operations. His work includes structuring vendor and logistics contracts, ensuring compliance with data privacy and product handling requirements, and supporting operational frameworks for high-volume, regulated environments.
He has supported technology transactions work for Amazon and brings in-house experience from Microsoft Corporation, where he worked on IP strategy and cross-border technology systems. His engineering background includes supporting major transportation and infrastructure projects, providing practical insight into logistics optimization, facility operations, and supply chain efficiency.
Ibrahim supports executive leadership as head of legal and compliance, aligning regulatory strategy with operational execution in pharmaceutical warehousing and distribution.
Umar Hinds is a Chief Pharmacist with deep expertise in pharmaceutical operations, regulatory compliance, and medication safety across retail and distribution environments. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy with First Class Honors from the Barbados Community College and brings a strong foundation in chemical and process engineering.
Umar is a former owner and operator of a pharmaceutical retail business, where he led end-to-end operations including procurement, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and patient care. His hands-on experience in high-volume pharmacy settings gives him practical insight into dispensing accuracy, workflow optimization, and controlled substance management.
He has conducted research on antibiotic usage from both patient and pharmacist perspectives, with a focus on compliance, antimicrobial stewardship, and responsible dispensing practices. Umar is highly skilled in product vetting, pharmacovigilance support, and patient counseling, ensuring safe and effective medication use across diverse populations.
Known for his tact, clinical judgment, and operational discipline, Umar plays a critical role in overseeing pharmaceutical standards, supporting compliance frameworks, and maintaining the integrity of medication distribution systems. He works closely with leadership to ensure that pharmacy operations align with regulatory requirements while delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Ishaq Sulaiman Abdus-Sabur is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with over 30 years of experience spanning financial management, education, and community-focused investment initiatives across the UK, Caribbean, and Middle East.
He has served as Finance Manager at Ash-Shahada Housing Association in London, where he oversaw financial planning, reporting, and compliance for housing and community development projects. He also served as Treasurer of Brixton Mosque, managing financial governance, budgeting, and stewardship of institutional funds. In addition, Ishaq has extensive experience in education as an A-level Accounting teacher at Manarat Schools in Riyadh, where he developed and delivered advanced accounting curricula and mentored students in financial literacy and professional pathways.
Ishaq has played a key role in raising millions of dollars in venture capital and community-based funding to support housing, development, and economic initiatives across underserved communities in the UK and Caribbean. His work bridges finance and social impact, with a focus on sustainable investment and responsible capital deployment.
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of the West Indies, a postgraduate qualification in Educational Management from the University of Westminster in London, and has completed ACCA Level 2 at South West London College.
Known for his financial discipline, integrity, and strategic insight, Ishaq brings a wealth of experience in managing complex financial operations, supporting organizational growth, and advancing community-centered investment initiatives.
Dr. Maryam Karga-Hinds is a Pharmacist and a Pharmacologist with over 40 years of experience as a pharmacist and nearly 30 years in drug regulation. She is currently working on establishing an independent drug regulatory agency.
Maryam holds a B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria; M.Sc. from Chelsea College, University of London; Ph.D. in Pharmacology from King’s College, and an Executive MBA in Public Sector Management from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados. She is a recipient of national and international awards for her dedication to the profession of Pharmacy.
Throughout her career, Maryam has held key positions and roles, including being the former Director of the Barbados Drug Service, former Chief Pharmacist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and representative of the Americas region on the WHO Essential Medicines Program. Maryam is currently the Interim Director General of the Barbados Medical Products Authority (BMPA).
Maryam has represented Barbados in many regional and international forums, including the Inter-Governmental Working Group (IGWG) on Intellectual Property Rights, Innovation and Public Health (CIPIH) established by the World Health Assembly in 2003.
Maryam is an advocate of Drug Regulatory harmonisation, both regionally and globally. She supports the incorporation of Medicinal plants and other alternative medicines into contemporary medicine.
